Also this year, we are in Maker Faire Rome 2018. This is an important opportunity to present a series of socially useful products.

 

SaveMyChild, a small project that fits into the child’s car seat and hides an intelligent sensor, which can understand if the child is on board and if the car has been stationary for too long, launching a series of alarms; during the three days of the demonstration will be performed live demonstrations, how this instrument is, in fact, able to detect both the presence of the child on board, and the absence of movement of the car for a time longer than the simple stop, due to a traffic light or a slowdown in traffic. The device will then send alarms to smartphones connected to it alerting the unsuspecting forgetfulness.
SaveMyOld is the “old” version of the previous project. Dedicated to all seniors who are not familiar with smartphones and messaging services, this “medallion” allows you to send text messages to a series of pre-stored phone numbers, alerting friends and family if needed.

 

Always for a “social need” comes the VOC Sensor that allows us to analyze the air quality of a room (to understand if it is time to open the windows and oxygenate the environment a bit) or an external space (going to evaluate the suspended microparticles). On the other hand, the Earthquake Sensor and the Thunderstorm Sensor are much more challenging. They allow the evaluation of the subsoil shocks and the approach of a storm, respectively.


There will also be 3D printers in the latest 3D4040 with a large print plate, which allows you to get three-dimensional objects up to 64,000 cm3 and the delicious 3DCHOCO for the creation of objects in chocolate.

An Educational-type Robot Arm will also be in operation for all the days of the event.
While among the projects of the “entertainment” series it will be possible to try and play the SoundWall a curious sound wall where “touch-notes” will produce, each touch, their own sound.
For the more virtuous instead, it will be impossible to resist the temptation to play the scenic ArpaLaser a real real-sized harp, which can be played by “pinching” the strings created by beams of colored laser light.
