In the last year or so, due to Smart Working or Distance Learning, the hours spent in front of the computer have increased enormously. Luckily there is a window behind the monitor for taking those breaks that are supposed to prevent eye strain, but it’s so hard to remember and boring to do.

Daniel Hingston has created a device to be placed on the top of the computer display that reminds us when to look away to rest our eyes.
The device in question consists of a 3D printed case, a 1.14″ TFT display, an Arduino Pro Mini and a button. Alternatively, it is also possible to use an Arduino Nano with different types of displays, like this 1.44″ or this 0.96″ monochromatic, as long as you modify the case in 3D.
